William “BillyRay” Wagenseller, 73, of Biglerville, Pennsylvania passed away June 24, 2023 at Shippensburg Health Care Center. He was born on March 23, 1950 in Lakewood, California into a career Air Force family, to his father Raymond and mother Harriet Hocken Wagenseller.
After high school, BillyRay enlisted in the Army and served in the Vietnam War. Upon returning home, he enrolled at the University of California, Riverside where he earned two Masters, Philosophy and Business. Loving history and the Civil War history in particular, he and Andee retired close to Gettysburg. His hobbies were reading, golfing, traveling, playing games (mostly military games), and reading the Bible.
Billy Ray was saved by Jesus in 1980. His greatest love was talking and teaching others about Jesus. He attended the ‘York Springs Foursquare Church’ and was apart of a loving church family there. He was close friends with Pastor Tyler and together they studied scripture and prayed.
He will be missed by those that loved him.
