Winifred J. Moore, 96, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away March 18, 2021 at the Shook Home. She was born on October 1, 1924 in Gary, Indiana to Fred and Alfretta () Templeton. She had attended nursing school after high school and had worked at the Chambersburg Hospital as an RN, at Leader Home in Chambersburg, and at the H.J. Heinz Company as an industrial nurse. She is a member of Falling Springs Presbyterian Church, she was a den mother for the cub scouts, and was involved with Muscular Distrophy Association. In later years, she served as a care giver to people in their homes.
She is survived by her three children: Christopher T. Moore of Fayetteville, Randy A. (husband of Sandy) Moore of Chambersburg, and Lynette Cook of Chambersburg. She has five grandchildren: Travis Moore, Jeffrey Moore, Katelyn Chadwick, MacKenzie Cook and Leighton Cook. and four great-grandchildren; Makayla Monn, Jude Moore, Grey Moore, and Cadence Chadwick. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Moore her son, Jeffrey L. Moore, a granddaughter, Courtney Cook, and her brother Fred Templeton.
