Fred J. Leab, 80, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania  passed away November 25, 2018  at Select Specialty Hospital in Harrisburg. He was born on November 18, 1938  in Ft. Loudon, Pennsylvania  to William  and Nellie  (Everets ) Leab.  Fred worked in the orchards most of his life and for Lester Egolf Auctioneer later in life.  He is the husband of Nancy J. Miller Leab,                                                                                                     Fred is survived by his wife of 36 years and his two step-children:  Tina (wife of William Jr.) Hoch of Biglerville and Sandra (wife of Steve) Baker of Chambersburg, and his dog, Tinker Belle.  He has four grandchildren: Christopher, Brian, Tyler, Megan and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters; Hazel Hamil and Nellie Smith of Mercersburg and Clara Jean Williamson of Ft. Loudon and two brothers Robert Leab of Orbisonia and Ted Leab of Ft. Loudon.
     Funeral services will  be held Thursday at 2:00 PM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg with the Rev. John Pogue officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow in Stenger Hill Cemetery, Ft. Loudon.

nancy and sandy and family, sorry to hear about fred, I always liked him when you two came into ryans for lunch. I always told him he looked like my real dad with his gray beard. rest in peace fred. you will be missed by many.
